About Us

 From a young age, I aspired to one day own and operate my own restaurant. In 2006, I visited Idaho and quickly fell in love with its lifestyle and community. Inspired by this experience, I made the decision to relocate and opened my first restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, under the name Aztlan Mexican Restaurant. While that venture came with its challenges, it provided invaluable lessons. Those experiences helped shape the vision and foundation for what La Cabañita Mex would become. 

 In 2008, I moved to Ketchum, Idaho, and opened the first La Cabañita Mex location. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, particularly in regard to the quality of our food and service. This support enabled us to expand, and in 2013 we opened a second location in nearby Bellevue, Idaho. La Cabañita Mex #2 was warmly received by both locals and visitors. In late 2019, we were presented with the opportunity to open a third location in downtown Hailey, Idaho. La Cabañita Mex #3 now La Cabanita @ The Mint officially opened its doors in June 2020. We are deeply grateful for the continued support from the Hailey community, which has played a vital role in the success of this location, even during challenging times
